The NEW ByteSpeed NL3 Classmate includes all the great features of the NL2, including a ruggedized convertible netbook design with a rotating swivel touch screen display that can lie flat as a tablet (pen stylus included) or twist open to reveal a keyboard. It has a spill resistant keyboard and touchpad, featuring reinforced corners, shock mounted hard drive, a protective rubberized cover, a fingerprint, scratch, and water-resistant screen, and a convenient retractable carrying handle.

In addition to the great NL2 features, the NL3 features the powerful new Intel Atom™ Dual Core N2600 processor, offering up to 9 hours of battery life (a significant increase in estimated battery life from the NL2). The webcam has been upgraded from 1.3MP to 2.0 MP, and the keyboard features an easier to clean design with reinforced keys. It’s also been further ruggedized to withstand drops of up to 70 cm on a hard surface and resist up to 200 cc of spilled water. The NL3 is available with an upgrade option to 4GB DDR3 memory.

The Classmate comes preloaded with classroom collaboration software, access management, and monitoring software, and creative software to be used with the Classmate’s stylus and webcam. The 2.0MP web cam swivels independent of the screen, allowing ease of photo and video communication.
